Daniel Holloway, PMHNP, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.  He completed his B.S. in Nursing at Mississippi College and worked with a variety of adults, children, and adolescents in both acute medical and mental health facilities before earning his M.S. in Nursing from the University of Mississippi.  Outside of the clinic, Daniel enjoys crewing with a hot air balloon team, mountain biking, volunteering with a local charity medical clinic, being involved in the music ministry of his local church, serving as an officer in the Navy Reserve, and spending time with his family and dog.

Gwen Dew, PMHNP, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.  She completed her bachelor of science in nursing from Mississippi University for Women.  She worked with patients across the lifespan in a variety of settings for over 15 years before

earning her MSN in psychiatric mental health from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.  In addition to providing care to her patients with Jackson Psychiatry Group, Gwen works with school-aged children and adolescents in a school-based clinic.  Outside of work, Gwen is an active member of her church, where she serves on the Board of Trustees.  Gwen is a mother of three children, and her favorite pastime is cheering them on at their various sporting events or extracurricular activities.  She also enjoys being outdoors, jogging, music, and SEC football.

Maria Smith, FNP, PMHNP-BC, is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. She treats children, adolescents and adults.  Previously, Maria practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor for 15 years working with children and adolescents. Maria then completed BSN and MSN/Family Nurse Practitioner programs at UMMC working in Pediatrics, ICU and Director of the Radiation Oncology Survivorship Program. She continued in mental health by completing the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program (UMMC). She has worked as PMHNP in outpatient and inpatient settings with patients of all ages.  Maria manages treatment for the following: ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, panic disorder, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other Psychiatric issues.  In her free time, Maria enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, yard work and reading.

Chyanne Napp, DNP, PMHNP- BC, is a 2013 graduate of Meridian Community College, where she received her Associate Degree in Nursing. She worked for 10 years in a variety of pediatric and adult acute care settings, with notable travel around the United States.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2019 from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) and shortly after continued her education at USM by pursuing the Doctor of Nursing Practice Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner degree. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and her favorite person, her puppy Nicholas. She also enjoys playing her steel guitar and leading worship at Springfield Baptist Church. 

Sally Day Sharp, PMHNP-BC, is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She treats patients across the lifespan with psychiatric illnesses and mental health concerns. Sally Day graduated from Hinds Community College in 2019 with her Associates of Applied Science in Nursing Degree. Upon graduation, she worked in various healthcare settings as a registered nurse, including traumatic brain injury care and medical/surgical floors. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing Degree from The University of Mississippi Medical Center.

In her current position at Jackson Psychiatry, she provides mental health assessments and evaluations, develops treatment plans, prescribes psychopharmaceuticals and medication, and educates communities and patients on mental health. Sally Day is licensed as a Nurse Practitioner with the MS Board of Nursing and is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)..

Carrie Gholston, PMHNP, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.  She completed her bachelor's and master's in nursing at UMC.  Carrie's prior experience includes managing psychiatric illnesses at Defining Wellness Centers and Core Cryotherapy in Jackson and Right Track Medical Group in Madison.  In addition to her work with patients, Carrie is a founding member of Rescue Revolution of Mississippi for Animal Rescue and serves as a volunteer at McCoy House Thrift Store.
